Career Path:
Peter joined the firm in 1979, became a partner in 1983 and heads our Family department. He is an Accredited Specialist of Resolution; a member of and an Examiner for the Law Society Advanced Family Law Panel; a member of the Official Solicitors Department Child Abduction Panel; a Resolution Collaborative Lawyer; and an accredited mediator.

Peter was one of the first solicitors to train as a mediator and has been on the Family Mediators Association and the UK College of Family Mediators. He is the author of 2 of the 3 “Good Practice Guides” of the UK College of Family Mediators. He sees the development of Collaborative Family Law as the logical and effective extension of mediation and again was one of the first solicitors to train in this field.

Out of the Office:
Peter has been married for over 30 years, has three children and one grandchild. Outside of work he is heavily involved in youth and charity work and is even known to participate in local marathons. He is a keen wine buff and enjoys football.
